Beta Notice: Rebill is currently in closed beta. These terms apply to beta users and will be updated before public launch.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Rebill ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Description of Service
Rebill is a web-based invoicing platform designed specifically for South African businesses. Our service includes:
- Professional invoice creation and management
- Client and contact management
- Payment processing integration with Paystack
- VAT compliance tools for South African businesses
- Business analytics and reporting
- ZAR currency support and South African locale formatting
3. User Accounts and Registration
To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
4. Beta Testing Terms
As a beta user, you acknowledge that:
- The Service is in development and may contain bugs or errors
- Features may change or be removed without notice
- Data backup and security measures are in place but may not be at production level
- You may be asked to provide feedback and testing assistance
- Beta access may be terminated at any time
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any local, state, national, or international law or regulation
- Create fraudulent or misleading invoices
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit spam, viruses, or other malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use the Service for any illegal business activities
6. South African Compliance
While Rebill provides VAT calculation tools and South African formatting, you remain responsible for:
- Ensuring your invoices comply with South African tax laws
- Maintaining proper VAT registration if required
- Filing accurate tax returns with SARS
- Keeping proper business records as required by law
7. Payment Terms
During the beta period, access to Rebill is free. Upon public launch:
- Subscription fees will be clearly communicated before charging
- Beta users may receive special pricing or extended free periods
- All fees will be charged in South African Rand (ZAR)
- Refunds will be handled according to our Refund Policy
8. Data and Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Rebill and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Rebill shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms of Service.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
